Why do we Catholics have structured prayers other than the “Our Father”?
「化質説」是當信的道理嗎？還是衹要相信聖體聖血的道理就行了，至於是不是化質，並不是必須相信的？
如果我哋明知、故意、自願向天主宣誓入籍成為加拿大或美國人，而我哋平時只稱自己是中國人，算唔算發假誓犯了第二誡命？
A priest said having a lot of faith means doing a lot of volunteer work and give money to the church. I always thought faith is about living up the Word and allow the Word to lead our conscience, conduct, and to shape us as a person. But this priest said having faith got nothing to do with it.
Why do Catholics pray to Mary and the saints when in the Ten Commandments it says, “Thou shall have no other gods before me”? Isn’t praying to them idolatry? And same thing with the craved images of Mary and the saints, “Thou shall not make unto thee graven images”
How come is so hard to forgive ourselves? I went to confession already!

Jesus never told us to pray to Mary. Jesus is the great intercessor and we prayed to him as the great intercessor to reach God. Nowhere in the Bible it says to pray to Mary. If it’s not in the Bible and we should not believe it. You can hope and pray to the Saints and Mary is more powerful but that’s just my belief that is not biblical.
Is it a sin for someone to forgo treatment for cancer, if statistically, the chances of survival with treatment is extremely low and the patient does not want to go through the pain of ineffective chemo? If someone raises this idea to a loved one to consider, would that be a sin?

Hi, we pray in Jesus name as the intercessors while alive here and praying for our brothers and sisters. Not asking Mary or ANY other saints in heaven. the person who prays for us us always say in JESUS NAME . Jesus is the truth the way and the life NO ONE goes to the FATHER except THRU him . Is Mary saying in Jesus name ? We won’t hear that ever from her now any dead saint from the bible . So this is why the question said only what is stated from the bible Catholics is adding their own teachings.

Why do we need to go to confession?
As a Catholic teenager living in the UK, June is ‘Pride month’ for the LGBT community, how should we see it as Catholics and how to have a conversation with LGBTQ+ people as me and my Catholic friends are having an online debate with some LGBT atheist. Question about gay marriage. I don’t think Pope Francis accept(s) that but his message is that we must accept them as children of God. Is gay marriage a big sin but can be forgiven? Biden claims to be devout Christian but based on the fact that he is ok with abortion do you think that is acceptable? I am confused. I only think that abortion is allowed only in case of sexual abuse and incest victims. Please give me your opinion.
If I was Catholic before, but left the church, what do I do to become catholic again? I went every Sunday with my family, baptized as an infant, had my First Communion, Confirmation, but not my wedding. My husband was a Baptist, so we were married in a Baptist Church.
