Of course, it is. Its founder  Josemaría Escriváis a canonized saint and a number of its member priests are bishops. It is a recognized congregation of the Roman Catholic Church and is doing a lot of good, especially in forming families and in equipping the faithful in evangelizing today’s society. Many of my friends  are members of Opus Dei and I know they are receiving good formation.

Of course, every group has its own expression and spirituality, and not every person may fit in. I encourage you to check it out before you make a decision.
