An infinite regression of mirrored images is not the same as a causal ontological chain, since the latter chain consists of separate individual ontological realities, and the former all refers really to one ontological reality — they all really are just one reality represented infinite number of times; if you remove the only object, you remove them all. And the question remains: having an infinite number of images does not explain where the object comes from.
